Business Development Training in Al-Anbar

The objective of this project is to train a minimum of 700 unemployed youth ‘persons trained’ and employ 35% of the graduates, in the targeted areas in Anbar which are identified by IRD’s Anbar POD.

This SME training program will equip aspiring and current micro and small private sector enterprises with intellectual and professional capacity to develop and expand as well as prospective professionals seeking positions in existing companies to acquire the skills needed to find a job.

After the training, IACCI will track the employment status of the graduates for a period no less than one year. It is expected that 35% of the graduates will find suitable sustainable jobs within three months after completion of the training course.

This program consists of business development training component. The overall goal of the SME training program is to equip would-be and current micro and small private sector enterprises with the means to produce and expand. The training component of the program provides unemployed persons and with intellectual and professional capacity to develop and acquire the skills needed to find a job.

By providing this infusion of intellectual and material capital, IACCI will equip a business or aspiring professional individuals with the ability to begin a meaningful career. In so doing, the employment generated by this program will move productive laborers and workers away from destructive activities or the temptation to engage in such activities towards actual production and means to generate a sustaining income.

IACCI wants to see trainees benefit from their new skills through finding business or employment opportunities following the completion of their training.
