AN IMPORTANT AND BOLD STEP
SET UP BY NAJAH PROGRAM IN ِِDORA
Iraqi American Chamber of Commerce and Industry undertook the establishment of
Training Centers in Baghdad districts of Al- Shuala, Al-Sha'ab, Al'Amil and Al-Mansour.
IACCI has contracted with Al-Rafidain Humanitarian Charitable Association at
Dora district. It opened a training course for the youth of the district. They
were taught
electronic
computers, English Language and economic sciences' principles (marketing,
accounting for the non-accountants, management and public relations).
The Association was supplied with all of the operational requirements (13
computers with their tables and chairs), administrative office ( to coordinate
with the Program ) and contributed to support NAJAH TRAINING Center in Dora with
qualified lecturers of competence, and paid salaries to the teachers of
computers and English Language and the coordinator between the two bodies.
The first course commenced on 15/5 and ended on 10/6/2007. The total number of
trainees was 51 youthful girls and 50 youthful boys. The attendance was very
huge. The Association registered 850 youths willing for training. The preference
between the applicants was on the basis of their scholastic certificate and age
fixed between 17 and 30 years. The graduation ceremony was on 25/6/2007. It was
attended by many inhabitants of the district. Graduation certificates signed by
the Executive Director the Iraqi American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr.
Raad Omar, the supervisor of NAJAH PROGRAM were distributed. The youthful girls
graduates received gifts (Mobile Nokia 6035) while the youthful boys graduates
received gifts (youth suits, shirts and ties); they were all paid for meals and
transportation fees for all the training period in the midst of overflowing
happiness.
The Chairman of Al Rafidain Humanitarian Charitable Association declared "This
work may be considered an important and bold step undertaken by NAJAH Program
with our cooperation. The graduated youthful girl Israa 'Abd-il- Nabi, 23 years,
B.A in English language, jobless, expressed her the need for repeating this rare
experience. While Rasha Naeil, 23 years, B.SC in Chemistry, jobless, said 'The
course is a golden opportunity to teach the youthful girl, Baydaa Khalid, 23
years, B.SC in physics, confirmed that the course raised the level of trainees
and opened wide horizons in front of the youthful girls. Azhaar Hemeed, 23
years, graduated from Administration Institute /Statistics Department said that
her father read the advertisement of the Association and she hastily attended
the course. She is very happy of her regular attendance in the course which
gives her the opportunity of going outside of her home for training and prepare
for work.
The youth Waleed Khalid, 27 years, a graduate of Industrial preparatory school ,
was very glad for getting the excellent gift. He informed us that the course was
very useful, was in need for learning computers and recover his level in English
language. He hopes to continue. The youth Qussay Najim, 30 years, graduate of
Technology Institute, is thinking to apply to NAJAH Program that supports the
medium and small projects. He said that he and his friends had benefited from
all courses.
The youth Waleed Hussain, 30 years, was very happy of the present while dressing
his suit said "I became elegant. I learnt a lot, but didn’t forget what NAJAH
Program has offered me. We are in need for training and rehabilitation which are
both forfeited in this country.
